Handwriting and the Brain

This article is part of a work that I have done on the use of modern technologies in the field of writing. The technologies of writing and printing which have spread widely in recent years and are related to writing and capturing students' ideas changed the method of expressing and capturing students' ideas. It is important to see that in recent years students use more and more less their pencils or a pen to capture their ideas on paper. We see that it was very quickly passed on to the students

We see that it was very quickly passed on to the students the idea that they are much more comfortable using touch technology to write letters suggested by the computer.

But a deeper Study into the use of letters and words made through writing using a pencil or pen can give us quite a lot of important information. It is important to see the results that come from minimizing time and easily capturing words, letters, and numbers, as opposed to the traditional way of students writing a thought or idea on a piece of paper.

It is a fact that in recent years students can handle new technologies very easily and very quickly and this is a way that may give them a significant advantage to be able to deal with modern information technologies and of course artificial intelligence in the future. It is also important to recognize the difference between the electronic media of writing and the traditional way.

From the place of neurophysiology, this is one of the most important criteria to identify the changes that have changed the philosophy in recent years in students, following practices and tactics that have changed the general philosophy in education and communication. Many times the convenience and the minimum time we use for our daily, create a different philosophy and different thoughts about how and why we follow more easily the new methods that have been determined by the spread of the new information technologies and the virtual reality.

However, the parameters of perception slowly begin to minimize their power and reflection. Although we expect with the passing of age to achieve greater perceptual capacity and kinesthetic perception using all of our experiences. Students using only two or three fingers to press the computer or mobile keys or using just one  touch to write letters and words that are most often suggested from the electronic device may create  very big changes that appear over time passing to the negative changing of the perception  parameters

Using a pencil or pen students will make some mistakes. They can use some standardized techniques to write that can later be combined with more and more circular movements that help to develop and expand more neuro-synapses and stimulations. Too many times we get carried away by penciling and drawing trying to complete a text and creating very beautiful paintings.

We have to understand that we don’t spend our time but we gain a lot of time for the future. This is a process in which the brain without stress uses the painting to create new nerve synapses and stimulations in which memory and imagination may understand and create very complex images. This could be said that be the beginning of a larger creative imprint which becomes from very simple small steps of learning to write better and better standard letters and later words and ideas.

So when a student uses his/her pencil to write on a piece of paper the contact with the paper is through his/her brain and this relationship will provide messages to the writer, using various sophisticated movements with his/her hand and fingers. The student also may recognize the messages from all that he/she wrote as visual images which the brain can very easily relate to earlier knowledge and the previous memory and of course the visual records he/she had from the past experiences.

It is known that using a pencil to write on a piece of paper takes more time than the process of writing words on a screen. In the case of the screen, we have the process of imprinting while in the case of using the pencil on paper, we have the process of creation. Imprinting has to do with placing specific actions to produce a certain result.

Creation has to do with discovering and relating the experiences we have had earlier in our lives or that we are experiencing today during the study in school class. This is in affiliation with the image of our emotions and the quality of our thinking. Although the time we need is longer, it is much more creative.

So we need to see how we can return to at least a combinational way of writing. And to be able to capture thoughts feelings and images more realistically. Many times we have done some small drawings at the end of our words in the notebook with a beautiful letter. This is a reflection of our feelings and the level of mind at that moment.

Looking at this text at another time we realize what happened inside us when we wrote the text and how we are now when we read the text or see the drawing we had made. I leave it to you to see the conclusions about the use of button points where I can produce letters and images versus the use of hand and finger movements where I will draw a beautiful letter that will be the impression of ourselves and our personality.

It is better not to be satisfied with perfection but with how we will be able to achieve it and that way should be unique only to our creation. Otherwise, any mechanical creation will not have our style and feelings.
